Famesgate Stables FAQ

What Should I Expect?

We ask that guests arrive 15-20 minutes before their prescheduled lesson to fill out paperwork and listen to a safety demonstration. At any time we encourage you to chat with us and ask us questions. We want you to have the most enjoyable ride possible! Pregnant women may not ride.

The rider's balance, seat and understanding of proper horsemanship form the basis of the program. Above all else, we pride ourselves on being able to tailor every lesson to the specific horse and rider.

Is there a horse for my level of experience?

Certainly! We take on first-timers, people that have ridden before but infrequently and experienced riders. Everyone will ride a horse matched with their individual experience level and size. A safety demonstration is given prior to your initial lesson.
